It’s getting harder to access social housing across NSW off the back of rising rental prices
Figures show Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama, all have wait times of just over 32-months.
While the latest data indicates that Kiama has nine-rough sleepers, Shellharbour with seven, while Wollongong sits up at around 80-people.

According to Homelessness NSW CEO Dominique Rowe, there’s a few things that can be done to offset it, including capping rental rates to inflation levels, and that homeless services are funded to an adequate level.
