Round 2 of the Illawarra Community Renewables Program

Residents and businesses across the Illawarra Shoalhaven region will again have the opportunity to access clean, affordable renewable energy with the launch of Round 2 of the Community Renewables Program.

The initiative is delivered by the Illawarra Shoalhaven Joint Organisation (ISJO) in partnership with its member councils of Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and Shoalhaven.

The Program’s second round follows a highly successful first round in 2025, during which more than 300 local households installed solar and battery systems, resulting in over 1,300 kW of new solar capacity and almost 5,000 kWh of battery storage added to the region’s energy network.
