NSW Ambulance Commissioner Dr Dominic Morgan will present awards to NSW Ambulance staff from across the Illawarra and Southern Region to recognise their unwavering service and dedication.

An intensive care paramedic who continued to care for patients even after she was injured when the
ambulance they were travelling in was struck by an oncoming car on the South Coast is among 25 award recipients.

Nine community members will also be acknowledged for their bravery at the ceremony, including an 11-year-old boy and his father who helped rescue two young children swept out to sea at Stanwell Park beach last September.
