Kiama has recently hosted a wide variety of major events, and understands there is value in events, both social and economic.
KIama Council is seeking to assess this value and weigh it up against any less-desirable impacts of major events on local residents.
With Council providing the approvals for major events in this Local Government Area, it wishes to understand this value and where the best balance is found.
To assist in achieving this, tourism development consultancy Tilma Group is reviewing Kiama LGA’s major events.
The Tilma Group will provide advice to Council on how to maximise the benefits of major events held in Kiama region, and how to reduce their impacts on residents.
Council is inviting residents to contribute to this research and have a say on major events by 25 February 2024.
