Dangerous trees close to Illawarra roadways to be dealt with

Millions of dollars from the state government’s coffers, will be spent dealing with trees that’re considered a hazard to road users around the Illawarra.

The $19m ‘Bushfire Corridor Resilience Project’, has been used on vegetation control, with numerous trees to be removed or pruned back.

The work will be done on the M1 Princes Motorway at Cataract, as well as the M1 in both directions from Picton Road at Cataract to Waterfall.
