A vigil will be held in McCabe Park Wollongong from 1pm today, 25 November 2025, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The day also see’s the start, of the United Nations’ 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence.
The vigil provides an opportunity for men and women of the region, to acknowledge the women’s lives cut brutally short by gender-based violence, while encouraging communities to work together, to deliver lasting societal change.
