Community Battery for Shell Cove

In a first for the South Coast, Shellharbour City Council has unveiled the first community battery, in the Endeavour Energy network.

The battery located on Sovereign Circuit, Shell Cove, stores excess solar, not used in a home during the day, that energy is then available for participating customers to use during the evening peak.

Council says it’s part of the transition to a zero emissions economy.
