A report will be prepared for the Coroner, after a man’s body was located near Wollongong
Emergency services were called to Cliff Road, North Wollongong, at about 10.40am on Sunday 9 August 2026, after reports the belongings of a swimmer who had not returned from the water had been located.
A search of nearby water, by multiple crews located the body of the missing swimmer.

He is yet to be formally identified; however, he’s believed to be aged in his early 30’s.
