Another pair of ‘minor earthquakes’ over the weekend, centred near Douglas Park West of the Illawarra near Appin.
Geoscience Australia reported the first at 6.24pm on Friday 18 September 2026 with a magnitude of 1.5, while the second was a small 0.9 close by at 11.30am on Saturday 19 September 2026.
Meantime a third quake, at magnitude 1.0 on Sunday just before 7pm was recorded as well, all events quite closely grouped.
