Deep concerns after reports of harassment and intimidation, directed at participants of a ‘She Shapes History’ walking tour in Wollongong.
It comes after a social media post, where women and young girls on the walk on Sunday 24 May 2026, were allegedly subjected to misogynistic, homophobic, and racial abuse, while taking part in the public history tour, celebrating the stories and contributions of women.
Women’s Day Illawarra Co-Founders Vicki Tiegs and Judith Henderson, have both expressed their deep concern, adding that the incident was deeply disappointing.
