Community wellbeing, coastal connection and food security will be strengthened across the Illawarra, with two local organisations announced as successful recipients in the Port Authority of NSW’s 2026 Community Grants, part of a state-wide program supporting port communities.
Goats Creek Longboarders Inc. and FareShare Australia will share in $7,000 to help deliver important local projects supporting Illawarra port communities.
FareShare will use the funding to deliver food support through its “From Port to Plate”, program – providing 1,100 nutritious, ready-to-eat meals to people experiencing food insecurity across the Port Kembla region.
While Goats Creek Longboarders will use the funding to deliver a community wellbeing and inclusion program.
