The Illawarra urged to stay vaccinated

Coordinaire’s Southern NSW Medical Director, is urging Illawarra residents to stay up to date with vaccinations, to protect themselves and others.

As part of World Immunisation Week, Dr Erica Cameron-Taylor said the rates of flu, whooping cough, and measles, are especially concerning.

NSW Health Respiratory Surveillance Reports, indicate kids aged 0-4 and 5-16, had the highest flu notification rates of any age group in 2025, while whooping cough notifications are the highest since records began.
