Wollongong City Council is setting its sights on something special, for the new Helensburgh Community Centre and Library.
Council says community feedback has shaped the vision for the facility, across five formal engagements between 2017 and 2024.
Residents called for an energy-efficient design, eco-friendly materials, and spaces for cultural, educational and recreational activities, with improved accessibility and transport links.

Council will be presenting designs to the community in early 2026, construction is scheduled to be completed by late 2028.
