Renowned and highly regarded conservationist Jane Goodall has passed away at the age of 91. Jane Goodall was a groundbreaking pioneer in the field of chimpanzee research. Her passing was announced today via The Jane Goodall Institute’s Instagram page.
Goodall was a vocal advocate for animal protection and restoration of the environment. Goodall was famously known for living among Chimpanzees in which she documented the animals lives and actively supported them and their protection. Her mark on the scientific world has been applauded for revolutionising how the world saw and treated chimpanzees.

Her passing has been felt by many world leaders, and organisations such as the UN writing a heartfelt farewell to Goodall.
