Margot Robbie has officially shut down the idea of playing pop icon Kylie Minogue on the big screen. Despite being Minogue’s top pick for a potential biopic after Kylie inked a massive seven-figure deal with Netflix for a tell-all documentary last year, Robbie’s not keen.
The whispers started flying that Minogue, who’s publicly championed Robbie for the role before, might be getting her own film. But during a chat on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, presenter Scott Mills dropped the bombshell that Kylie wanted Robbie to play her.

The Gold Coast-raised actress, 35, seemed genuinely surprised, exclaiming, “She did not?! Why has nobody ever told me this before?! That is wild information.”
But alas, it’s not to be. Robbie continued, “I am beyond honoured. Of course, I could not. I can’t sing, I can’t sing like Kylie. I don’t like it when people can’t actually sing and do a singing movie, you know.”
OMG there IS something she can’t do! Fair call Margot.
The Barbie star, a three-time Oscar nominee, is currently smashing the promo circuit for her new Sony Pictures drama A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, where she stars alongside Colin Farrell. It’s her first flick since welcoming a son with husband Tom Ackerley last October.
