Wollongong Councillor calls for the fences to come down

A number of Wollongong Councillors are calling for a currently fenced off area to be made available to the public.

Kit Docker, Greens Councillor for Wollongong, said the old Wollongong Showground area, formerly used by The Dragons as a training pitch, needs to be re-purposed

Mr Docker says the fences should come down, rather than keeping the space locked up, it’d be a great open space and recreation asset for the city.
