Wollongong City Council has joined the ranks of those running electric vehicles, with delivery of a new set of wheels.
Council said its new fleet car, a Hyundai Kona, which runs on renewable energy, was delivered this month, and it’s the first fully electric vehicle in the City’s pool car fleet.
Council Director Corporate Services, Renee Campbell, said the electric car was another step toward electrification of the city’s wider fleet, with plans to continue as cars need to be replaced.
