Police are following fresh leads after last week’s alleged hammer attack in Warrawong.
A man in his 40s remains in hospital with serious head injuries following the incident on Oxlade Street last Friday, 5 June.
Investigators allege two attackers fled the scene in a white Suzuki Vitara, which had reportedly been stolen from a Western Sydney home hours earlier.

The vehicle was later spotted in South Granville, where police initiated a pursuit before it came to a stop and six males ran from the scene.
Two teenagers have been arrested, while a third has been spoken to by police.
Three others remain outstanding.
