Wollongong City Council crews are at work on the construction of flood mitigation levees along Whartons Creek at Franklin Avenue and Spinners Way at Bulli.
The construction of three levees, aims to increase the capacity of the creek system, to reduce to reduce the extent and impacts of flooding, on nearby residential areas and schools.
The works started on 28 September 2026 and will continue for approximately six months, subject to the weather.
