Solar power forging ahead in the Illawarra

The Illawarra and South Coast have taken to rooftop solar, but the push is on for the installation of solar batteries.

The government said while one in three Aussie households have rooftop solar, only one in 40 have a solar battery.

Data indicates that across the Illawarra and South Coast, there have been nearly 85,000 solar installations, generating nearly 500 megawatts of solar power.
