Severe wind warning still current for the Illawarra

The Bureau of Meteorology has posted a ‘severe weather warning’ once again for the Illawarra today for severe winds.

Overnight wind gusts hit 87 km/h at Bellambi and Albion Park, while Kiama recorded a top of 80 km/h.

For parts of the Illawarra, the Bureau is predicting strong westerly winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h with gusts of around 90 km/h possible, easing this morning.
