The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a ‘severe weather warning’ for the Illawarra today.
Along with potentially up to 80mm of rain today, damaging South to South Westerly winds 60 to 70 km/h, with peak gusts of around 110 km/h, are likely to develop from this afternoon.
The Bureau says peak gusts, in excess of 125 km/h are also possible this afternoon for the northern Illawarra, we also have a hazardous surf warning as well.
