Road works in Albion Park from next week

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on Tongarra Road at Albion Park while road repairs are carried out. 

Work will include excavating and resurfacing Tongarra Road between the Princes Motorway northbound off-ramp and Terry Street

Work will be carried out between 7pm and 4am, Sunday to Thursday nights from Tuesday the 30th of September to Thursday the 2nd of October, and Sunday the 12th to Sunday the 19th of October, weather permitting.

No work will take place over the long weekend. 

During work, single lane closures, stop/slow traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists. 

Traffic control will be onsite from 5pm to ensure the road is clear and no parked vehicles will be permitted on the road overnight. 

Motorists are advised to allow up to 10 minutes’ additional travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control. 

The bus stops on Tongarra Road will remain open during work. Bus stops may be temporarily relocated while work is carried out on the section of road directly in front of a stop.

Traffic controllers will be onsite to assist public transport users, pedestrians and cyclists as required, and to maintain access to businesses. 

Emergency service access will be maintained at all times.
