Port Authority has announced the recipients of its 2025 Community Grants Program, with nine recipients selected from a pool of 87 applicants.
Recipients from the Port Kembla region include:
- Port Kembla Chamber of Commerce and Industry: for the installation of life-saving Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in high-traffic areas
- Goats Creek Longboarders: supporting its surfing and wellness program that promotes physical activity, social interaction and the environment

Goats Creek Longboarders President Peter Maywald said Goats Creek Longboarders are grateful and honoured to receive a Port Authority of NSW Grant.
The Grant will empower the Club to sustain and expand its mission – strengthening social connections, improving health outcomes and raising environmental awareness – ultimately enriching the Port Kembla community for generations to come.
