Emergency services have been on the scene in Warrawong after an elderly pedestrian was hit by a car this afternoon.
The incident occurred on King Street between Cowper street and Northcliffe drive at around 12pm
A helicopter is transporting the pedestrian to hospital, after being treated for head and chest injuries at the scene.

There have been delays, particularly northbound on King Street.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution.
