The NSW Government is installing 16 new Electrical Vehicle chargers across Wollongong and Shellharbour, as part of a $5 million expansion of the kerbside and carpark electric vehicle charging network in NSW.
Wollongong MP Paul Scully said the new infrastructure will make charging easier, more accessible and convenient for drivers who don’t have off-street parking, such as those who live in apartments and densely populated areas.
Drivers across Wollongong will benefit from 12 new EV chargers to power up their electric vehicles to be installed in Gwynneville, Wollongong and North Wollongong.
The chargers – ranging from 7 kilowatts to 22 kilowatts – will be installed on kerbsides or in public council car parks over the coming year.
The EV chargers funded under this grant are in addition to the one recently announced for Warrawong Plaza.
