Multiple motorbike accidents in the Illawarra

A man has died after a two-vehicle crash near Helensburgh.

At about 1pm Saturday, emergency services were called to the Old Princes Highway Helensburgh, after reports a motorbike and a ute had collided.

The rider of the motorbike, a man believed to be aged in his 50’s, died at the scene, he’s yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the car, a 26-year-old man, was not injured, he was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Meantime, investigations continue, after a 17-year-old died in a motorbike crash at Albion Park.

Emergency services were called to Terry Street, Albion Park, just before 8pm on Friday, Lake Illawarra Police finding a motorcycle had crashed after leaving the road.

The rider was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries, before being taken to Wollongong Hospital where he later died.
