Marine Rescue NSW Illawarra crews complete specialist training

Marine Rescue NSW continues to enhance its flood rescue capability to support the SES and other agencies during significant weather emergencies across the state.

Marine Rescue NSW volunteers from the Illawarra and Shoalhaven recently took part in specific training at Sussex Inlet.

A dozen locally based members have now completed all requirements of the Marine Rescue NSW State Operations Group course meaning they are now able to be deployed to any flood emergency across the state at the request of the SES.

Dave Bowing from Marine Rescue NSW, said more than 60 volunteers across state have now completed the training across the state.
