Marine Rescue NSW assists boat 11km off the Illawarra coast

The Marine Rescue NSW Port Kembla crew have assisted a four people and their boat, after an incident about 11 km off our coast on the weekend.

Rescue said the skipper of the six metre open runabout, reported taking on a large amount of water on the return from a fishing trip.

Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Stuart Massey, said the crew on board Port Kembla 31 was sent to attend the vessel in case the situation deteriorated.
