A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing at Avondale.
Just after 1:30 this morning, Emergency Services were called to a home on Avondale Road, where they found a 40 year old man with a stab wound to his hand.
He was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man -known to the injured man – at the scene.
He was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station and charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The man was refused bail to appear before Wollongong Local Court today.
