Today, 26 September 2025, marks a major milestone in the development of the region’s first 5-Star Green Star rated community, with a sod-turning ceremony highlighting the start of construction for Stage One housing at The Works, Corrimal.
The developers said the sod turning is an important step in the urban renewal of the derelict former industrial site, and the realisation of a planning process started in 2017, to deliver contemporary homes that cater for the diverse needs of today’s households.
The Works aims to become an intergenerational community within the broader Corrimal region with a variety of landscapes, precincts, housing types and leisure facilities upon completion.
