Transport for New South Wales work has been progressing with upgrades and slope work on Macquarie Pass.
Crews have been removing vegetation, debris and other unstable material cleared to prevent further damage and improve slope stability; to reinforce the slope, long steel rods have been installed into the embankment.
Work will pause for two weeks over the holiday period from today, 18 December 2025, and will resume on Monday 5 January 2026.
