A house fire in Kiama Downs overnight, has left an elderly couple with just the clothes on their backs…
The fire broke out just before 9pm Monday, the Cullen Drive home was destroyed but the residents safely self evacuated to get away from the flames.
The fire was reportedly so hot that firefighters couldn’t get inside the building, forcing them to fight it from the outside.

Crews that attended were Fire and Rescue NSW Kiama, Dunmore Rural Fire Brigade, Fire and Rescue NSW Shellharbour, and Fire and Rescue NSW Albion Park.
