Kiama Council set to send out rates notices

Kiama Council has advised ratepayers of updated land values, and subsequently changes to rates notices, which will be sent to ratepayers in July.

Council says, the NSW State Government’s Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal, sets the allowable rate increase for all NSW Councils.

For 2023-24, IPART set Kiama Council’s rate peg at 5.1%, Council however says this figure has been adjusted to 4.2%, due to the ‘Additional Special Variation’, granted for 2022-23.
