Kiama is set to become just the second location in NSW, to have camera’s installed to monitor rock fishing safety.
Surf Life Saving NSW will oversee the installation of the cameras, that’ll be connected to AI, to monitor how many people are on the rock platform, Randwick in Sydney is the other location for the cameras.
Kiama Mayor Cameron McDonald said Kiama has seen a number of incidents and sadly fatalities in recent times.
