Kiama Council will be closing Jamberoo Mountain Road to traffic from today to improve safety near the Barren Grounds entrance.
Council says the works will take up to nine-weeks to complete, with the road and the embankment to be widened, along with works to the storm water pipe under the road.
The works are being funded through a Betterment Grant, supported by the Federal and NSW governments.
