New data released by the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research, reveals an upward trend in domestic violence, assault, and retail theft across the state over the two years to March 2025.
For the Illawarra, sexual assault has increased by over 24 percent, while car theft has increased by 22 percent.
Domestic violence rates have increased by 7.1 percent, while break and enters are up by nine and a half.
