Illawarra roadworks on the way

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Coalcliff while natural disaster recovery work is carried out. 

Protection barriers will be installed on the northbound roadside, just north of Bombora Way, to prevent rocks falling onto the road.  

Investigation work will also be carried out on two culverts at this location to inform future drainage upgrade work in the area.

Work will be carried out from Monday 23 June to Friday 4 July, weather permitting. 

To reduce impacts to the community and improve safety, work will be carried out during the day and at night from 9.30am to 2.30pm and 7pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, weather permitting.

There’ll also be night closures of the M1 Princes Motorway (Mount Ousley Road) and Picton Road for work to be carried out as part of the Mount Ousley interchange project.

Work will include removal of vegetation, installing barriers and signs, piling work for signage and gantries, building site access gates, removing signs and gantries, removing guard rail, completing drainage work, relocating utilities, installing temporary street lighting, pavement work and line marking.

Work will be carried out on Sunday 22, Monday 23 and Wednesday 25 June, weather permitting.

Road closures will be in place on the M1 Princes Motorway between Bulli Tops and Memorial Drive, and Picton Road between the M1 Princes Motorway and Almond Street at Wilton.
