Government asks for Picton Road feedback

The community is invited to provide feedback on the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the western section of the Picton Road upgrade.

The NSW Government has committed $44 million and the Australian Government has committed $80.7 million to the planning of the upgrades of Picton Road.

Timing and funding for construction are yet to be confirmed.

From Thursday 1 February, the community can have their say on the REF by visiting the Transport for NSW website, feedback closes 5pm Thursday 29 February, 2024.

Transport for NSW will collate and consider the submissions received during the public display of the REF and prepare a submissions report.

Minister for the Illawarra and the South Coast Ryan Park, said “This Picton Road upgrade has reached an important milestone, and any feedback received during this time will help to shape and refine the final design for the proposed project.”

“Picton Road is a vital road for many people who live in the Illawarra and I encourage all residents with views to share their thoughts.”
