Friday night the University of Wollongong had to deal with a fire emergency.
The Uni says at about 8pm, Friday 26 September 2025, a fire occurred in Building 2 at the Wollongong Campus, emergency services responded quickly, and the fire was extinguished.
All UOW security staff and contractors on site have been accounted for and are safe, and Police have confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
