Police have charged an eighth person as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged drug supply network operating across the Illawarra.
Strike Force Yetna was established by Lake Illawarra detectives in October 2025 to investigate the alleged supply of prohibited drugs by organised criminal groups in the region.
As part of the operation, police executed a search warrant about 7.50am on Thursday 22 January 2026 at a home on Farmborough Road, Farmborough Heights.
During the search, officers seized cocaine, $14,500 in cash, and a notebook police allege was being used as a drug ledger.
Search warrants were also carried out at seven additional locations across the Lake Illawarra Police District that same day, resulting in the arrest and charging of six people, all of whom remain before the courts.
A seventh person was arrested and charged on Friday 30 January 2026.
Most recently, at about 8am on Sunday 28 February 2026, a 22 year old man was arrested at Sydney Airport.
He was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with supplying a prohibited drug of a commercial quantity, as well as recklessly dealing with the proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail and is scheduled to appear in Bail Division Court 7 today.
