Police say A vessel and a body have been recovered off Bass Point.
Local police were conducting a search after they were told a male fisherman left Shellharbour Marina yesterday, last contacting authorities about 11pm yesterday, indicating he would return at 11am today.
When he failed to return, a search commenced led by Marine Area Command, with assistance from NSW Police Divers, Surf Life Saving NSW, Marine Rescue NSW and the Westpac helicopter.

The body is yet to be formally identified and investigations are continuing.
