Berkeley resident and well known community advocate, Rebecca Schmidt-Lachlan, has been announced as the winner of the prestigious Courage Award, at the recent 2024 Stroke Awards.
Community Industry Group nominated Rebecca, who had to reinvent herself after a devastating stroke 16 years ago at the age of just 26.
Rebecca uses her own experience to inspire others, and is passionate about advocacy, and inclusion.
