As hospitals prepare for increased Emergency Department presentations this winter, the local health district is reminding us of the options we have.
The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District advises it has been planning for this expected increased demand for several months, with more than 30-initiatives underway across a number of key focus areas.
Director of Nursing at Bulli Hospital and Bulli Urgent Care Centre, Melissa Rees, is encouraging the community to consider the range of local and virtual services available, to help avoid unnecessary trips to the emergency department.
