Warrawong NAIDOC – Family Fun Day!

The 11th Annual Warrawong NAIDOC Family Fun Day is happening on Tuesday 8th July 2025 at Darcy Wentworth Park in Warrawong, to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, after being postponed in June.

This year’s theme – The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy. NAIDOC Week 2025 marks a powerful milestone: 50 years of NAIDOC Week, honouring and elevating Indigenous voices, culture and resilience

The event will be hosted by local services including Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation, Barnardos Australia, Illawarra Legal Centre, Warrawong Residents Forum, Wollongong City Council, Mission Australia and Department of Communities and Justice. NAIDOC Family Fun Day is an free inclusive event and is drug and alcohol-free, and will feature a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony performed by respected local Elders. There will be entertainment including singers, dancers, didgeridoo players and other musical performances.

It will be a fun day for the whole family with a free BBQ, arts and crafts, children’s activities, information stalls and giveaways. Members of the local community are invited to come along and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and meet their local services. St George Illawarra Dragons football clinic is available for the kids!
