Jim Eames Takeoff Exhibition
Jim Eames has been involved with airlines since he began work as an aviation writer in the 1960s. He has been a ministerial press secretary and aviation adviser to governments and a senior executive with Qantas. He is the author of nine books.
Join us at Gerringong Library on Saturday 13 May at 1pm as Jim talks about his latest book: The Mighty 747, a jet-set nostalgia drama about how this mighty sky queen changed the face of international travel and was instrumental in some of Australia’s most remarkable events throughout its history.
To tie in with this, the Takeoff Exhibition will be in the GLaM Gallery from 13-27 May, Tuesdays to Saturdays 11am-3pm.
Come and see community photos and items, showing local historical connections to flight, the air force, and the 747.
