Whitlam MP welcomes new ‘Network of Women’ in Parliament

Federal Member for Whitlam Carol Berry has welcomed the establishment of the new ‘Network of Women’ in Parliament.

Ms Berry says the ‘NOW’ initiative, comes at an important time for Australian democracy, creating an environment where women in Parliament can share experiences, support and learn from each other.

Speaking in Parliament following the attack on MP Helen Haines, Ms Berry says respectful debate and peaceful disagreement, were fundamental to Australia’s democracy.
