A surf lifesaver from Gerringong and a local club have taken major awards, at the recent 2026 Surf Life Saving NSW Awards of Excellence.
Held in Sydney at Darling Harbour on 22 August 2026, Harrison Wicks became Gerringong SLSC’s first state award winner since 2002, when he was named the Youth Surf Lifesaver of the Year, Club of the Year went to Shellharbour SLSC.
Award categories spanning youth, membership, education, lifesaving and surf sports were contested by members, representing all 11-branches along the NSW coastline.
