Wollongong City Council has advised its set to re-open West Dapto Road to traffic before Christmas this year.
Works in the immediate vicinity were halted in late May, when a colony of threatened ‘Southern Myotis’ microbats were discovered roosting within the culvert, requiring the implementation of a ‘Microbat Management Plan’.
Lord Mayor of Wollongong Councillor Tania Brown said construction continued either side of the culvert site.
