Critical incident declared after woman dies in Wollongong CBD

A woman has died following an incident in Wollongong’s CBD this morning.

Emergency services were called to Gladstone Avenue just after 11 o’clock, where police were responding to concerns for welfare.

A critical incident has now been declared, with detectives from Lake Illawarra Police leading investigations into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
